Background

Mr. Jurgensen is a strategist, attorney and entrepreneur with over 21 years experience in business strategy, corporate formation, fundraising, corporate partnering, business development and intellectual property in a wide variety of industries, including life sciences, consumer products, high technology and professional services. He has deep legal experience in Corporate and Securities Law, Intellectual Property, Dispute Resolution and all varieties of Agreements.

Mr. Jurgensen was the Founder of four companies, including Jurgensen Villasenor, APC, Catalyst Law Group, APC, and Allylix, Inc., an industrial biotechnology company that just completed a $9MM+ venture round. Mr. Jurgensen co-founded Allylix in 2002, previously served as the Company’s President, CEO, Chairman and Board Member, and was directly involved in the raising of over $17MM in funding, including the current venture round. He has served as a senior executive and on numerous for-profit and not-for-profit Boards in a number of organizations, including Allylix, Medwaves, Molecular Biosystems, The Salk Institute for Biological Studies, The Nicholas Conor Institute and The California Center for Sustainable Energy. In addition, he served as Associate General Counsel for Ligand Pharmaceuticals and as Intellectual Property Counsel for the 3M Corporation. He is the father of two boys, Grant (18) and Max (12), and has been married to his lovely wife, Kathy, for over 28 years.

Education
Mr. Jurgensen obtained his J.D. from the University of Oregon, his M.S. from Iowa State University, and a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin.
